This Cookies Policy explains how ClinicalSpace ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by ClinicalSpace LLC, uses cookies and similar technologies on clinicalspace.com (the "Site"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
By using the Site, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy, subject to the choices we offer through the cookie consent banner and your account settings.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the website operator. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, web beacons, and pixels — this policy uses "cookies" to refer to all of these collectively.
2. Categories of cookies we use
a. Strictly Necessary
These cookies are required to operate the Site. They include cookies that:
- Keep you signed in after authentication.
- Maintain your session as you navigate between pages.
- Protect against cross-site request forgery and other security threats.
- Remember your cookie consent choice.
You cannot disable these cookies because the Site will not work without them.
b. Functional
These cookies remember your preferences and improve your experience:
- Your saved search filters.
- Your notification cadence preference (immediate, daily, weekly).
- Anonymous-listing toggle state.
c. Analytics
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it:
- Page views and navigation paths.
- Approximate geographic region (derived from IP address).
- Device type and browser.
We may use third-party analytics providers (e.g. server-side request logs, error monitoring tools) that set their own cookies. These providers process data under their own privacy terms.
d. Marketing
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If we add them in the future, we will update this policy and re-prompt for consent.
3. Third-party services that may set cookies
The Site uses third-party services that may set their own cookies when you interact with the Site. These may include:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g. our application host) — set session and security cookies.
- Authentication providers — set tokens for sign-in.
- Email delivery providers — may use tracking pixels in transactional emails to measure deliverability.
- Embedded media (e.g. YouTube videos on the "How It Works" page) — set cookies governed by the third party's own policies.
We do not control these third parties' cookies. Their privacy and cookie practices are governed by their own policies.
4. How long cookies last
| Type | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|
| Session cookies | Deleted when you close your browser |
| Authentication cookies | Up to 30 days, or until you sign out |
Consent cookie (cs_consent) |
12 months |
| Functional cookies | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics cookies | Up to 24 months |
5. Your choices
You can:
- Use the cookie consent banner on your first visit to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
- Manage preferences at any time by clicking the Cookies Policy link in the footer, then Manage Preferences.
- Adjust your browser to refuse all cookies, accept cookies only from sites you visit, or alert you when a cookie is set. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.
- Sign out to clear authentication cookies.
If you reject non-essential cookies, some features will be unavailable (e.g. saved searches, persistent preferences, analytics-driven improvements).
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT, and the Site does not currently change behavior in response to DNT.
The Site does, however, honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of the sale and sharing of personal information for the duration of your session, regardless of any cookie banner choice you make.
You can also manually opt out at any time by using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our footer. We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising; the link is provided as a defensive measure so your preference is recorded regardless of any future change in our practices.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top.
- If the change introduces new third parties, new tracking purposes, or new data sharing, re-prompt for consent via the banner.
